This privacy policy explains how FlickHop handles user data. FlickHop is operated by worldsendgamedev, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom.

Data FlickHop collects
FlickHop may collect and store the following data:
- Account details: email address, display name, account ID, account creation and update times, email verification status, salted password hashes, and hashed verification or password reset tokens. FlickHop does not store plaintext passwords.
- Gameplay history for signed-in users: game mode, daily challenge key, start and target titles, route text, link count, completion time, hint count, win status, and rating mini-game best streak.
- Friend data: friend requests, accepted friends, and limited public profile details such as display name and rating streak.
- Local device data: settings, active game state, daily challenge attempt state, temporary caches, and local streaks stored by the app on the user's device.
- Technical service data: requests may create standard Render, Supabase, or network logs used for reliability, abuse prevention, debugging, and security.
How FlickHop uses data
FlickHop uses data to:
- Create and secure user accounts.
- Save results, stats, daily challenge history, streaks, and friend comparisons.
- Provide movie, TV, cast, director, and image data through the FlickHop service and TMDB.
- Maintain, protect, and improve the app and service.
Sharing and processors
FlickHop does not sell user data.
FlickHop uses Supabase Postgres for account and result storage, Render for hosting, TMDB for movie and TV data and images, and an email provider for account verification and password reset messages. FlickHop does not send account passwords or Supabase credentials to TMDB.
Ads, purchases, and payments
FlickHop does not currently show ads, offer paid subscriptions, use in-app purchases, or process payments. If this changes, this privacy policy will be updated before those features are enabled.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account exists.
Users can delete their FlickHop account either in the FlickHop app or by visiting:
https://cast-chain-app.onrender.com/account-deletion
Deleting an account removes the account record, password hash, active sessions, saved results, daily history, rating streak, and friend relationships from FlickHop's account database. Local device data may remain on the device until the user clears app data or uninstalls the app.
Privacy and account deletion requests can also be sent to flickhopinquiries@gmail.com.
Children
FlickHop is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact flickhopinquiries@gmail.com so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Security
FlickHop uses reasonable technical measures to protect user data. However, no app, website, or online service can guarantee complete security.
International processing
FlickHop's service providers may process data in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, FlickHop relies on its service providers to apply appropriate safeguards.
User rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. To make a privacy request, contact flickhopinquiries@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app, on the app listing, or wherever this policy is made available.
